The scorecard. Seven cards across the top – Total KPIs Tracked, On Target (YTD), At Risk (YTD), Missed (YTD), Improving vs PY (MTD), Avg Achievement (MTD) and Avg Achievement (YTD) – read 15, 8, 3, 4, 7 of 15, 96.2% and 97.2% on the sample. Below them, each KPI has its group, unit, type and a full MTD and YTD block.
KPI Trend
Pick any KPI in cell B4 and the page redraws: group, unit, type, owner, priority and frequency, the formula and definition, a twelve-month table, and two combo charts – MTD Trend and YTD Trend – with actual and prior-year columns and a target line. On the sample, Cubic Yards Excavated is On Target in eleven months, dips to 99.4% in October, and ends the year at 475,154 CY against a 459,575 CY target.
KPI Analysis
Counts On Target, At Risk and Missed per group, averages MTD and YTD achievement per group, charts Average YTD Achievement by KPI Group, and ranks the top and bottom five KPIs on YTD achievement. The top five on the sample are Cubic Yards Excavated (104.4%), Fleet Utilization (102.7%), Unplanned Equipment Downtime (101.6%), Cost per Cubic Yard (101.3%) and Crew Productivity (100.7%).
KPI Input – Actual, Target and PY
The three sheets you type in, each with an MTD and a YTD column per month. Cell E3 on the Actual sheet sets the first month of the year, and the other two sheets inherit their month headers from it.

An honest note on the safety and permit KPIs. They are reporting lines over monthly figures you type in.
